Extended Profile

What do you (or organization) hope for in connection with a deep time perspective?

Be among those organizations leading societal transformation through cultivating a shared sense of Presence

Short description of your (or organization's) current interest/work in an deep time perspective:

I am currently exploring methods to expand awareness of interiority, our inner world, particularly in relationship with the work of Teilhard de Chardin, Thomas Berry, Mary Evelyn Tucker, John Grim, Brian Swimme. I’m interested in Berry’s articulation of three principles: Differentiation, Interiority and Communion. The language of Science seems to describe the principle of Differentiation in the “Journey of the Universe” curriculum. Are there other languages or perspectives through which we might view Differentiation? Also, how might we augment “The Cosmic Education” curriculum to help facilitate a deepening of interiority and an embodied sense of communion?

Favorite Quote Having to do With a Deep Time Evolutionary Perspective:John Gardner writes that “at the deepest levels the world and man’s true self are one. This means that the aspirations and ideals, the beauty and goodness, which are natural to the human heart, lie somehow also at the center of the physical universe.”
