Extended Profile

What do you (or organization) hope for in connection with a deep time perspective?

I have experienced the difference it makes to consciously live within a cosmic space and time perspective. I hope to deepen this daily and hope that my deepening consciousness and compassion will contribute positively to the Universe and the “Great Work.”

Short description of your (or organization's) current interest/work in an deep time perspective:

I try each day to deepen my awareness of my place in the Universe Story. I include it, at least briefly, in everything I write or share with others.

Background: Your bio if an individual, or description if an organization (Let us know who you are!):

Originally from Chicago, I entered the Society of the Holy Child Jesus in 1952. My first 18 years of ministry focused on elementary education and Society leadership, after which I profited from experiences with Global Education Associates, the UN (as an NGO), some TV and video production, giving presentations, edited the SHCJ newsletter, assisted authors, always becoming more and more involved with ecospirituality and care of creation. In 2001 I initiated (and still chair) my province’s EcoSpirituality Group, assist our JPIC Coordinator, and manage the website http://ecospiritualityresources.com.

What are you (or organization) looking for from the Network?

Personally and speaking for the SHCJ’s EcoSpirituality Group, I look forward to two-way sharing and networking: learning, inspiration, and hope from activities of others; opportunities to offer what I can; networking.

What do you (or organization) bring to the Network?

I bring an eagerness and commitment to continue learning. My website (http://ecospiritualityresources.com) contains suggestions of books, sites and media; videos (e.g., “Time for an Energy Change” that connects climate chaos and fracking, and others of a meditative nature); materials for Advent and Lent groups that are grounded in the cosmic story and focus on the call to care for creation; and a blog that contains what I hope to be timely topics related to creation.
